Prof. Huang Ailong was appointed as president of Chongqing Medical University in April 2018.
Prof. Huang is a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Central Committee of Jiu San Society, and the deputy chairman of Chongqing Municipal Jiu San Society Committee.
He has also served as Chief Scientist in National Major Project in Infectious Diseases, Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education, and was granted the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (Level-B). He is among the first group of National-level candidates in New Century Hundred Project, the National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Workers, and young and middle-aged experts with Outstanding Contributions to National Health and Family Planning. He enjoys special government allowances from the State Council and was granted the title as National Outstanding Individual in Combating COVID-19.
