    Chinese and international students from CQMU won prizes at the Second Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Innovation Competition for International Students

    The Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Innovation Competition for International Students held its finals at Chengdu University on December 23, 2021. Under the slogan “Innovation in Southwest China, Studying in Chengdu-Chongqing”, the competition was hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. Sichuan Expert Service Center and Chengdu University organized this event.

    In the finals, Amin Ullah (Pakistani, Ph.D. student of Grade 2018), Sadaf Pervaz (Pakistani, Ph.D. student of Grade 2019) and Yang Junpu (Chinese, Master's student of Grade 2020) from the College of Basic Medicine formed a team named “SUNSHINE”. Their project—Effect of Metformin plus Flutamide drugs on COVID-19 patients with PCOS—is of great social relevance and demonstrates disciplinary characteristics. After competing with 20 teams from enterprises and universities in Chengdu and Chongqing, the team won an “Excellent Project Award” and CQMU earned an “Excellent Organization Award”.
