Dr. Chen Dilon was appointed as the Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Medical University Committee in March 2026.
He has previously served as Executive Vice-Dean of the Graduate School at Chongqing Medical University; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Chongqing Three Gorges Medical College; a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Chongqing Municipal Market Supervision Administration; and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Chongqing Municipal Drug Administration.
He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and PhD in Pharmacology from Chongqing Medical University. He is a professor, a PhD supervisor, and a Leading Talent in Innovation and Entrepreneurship under the Chongqing Talents Programme.
He has long been dedicated to higher education, the management and research of degrees and postgraduate education, and pharmaceutical regulatory policy research. He has served as Director of a Chongqing Municipal Key Laboratory, Deputy Chair of the Chongqing Municipal Professional Title Evaluation Committee for Higher Vocational Colleges, an expert in vocational education assessment for Chongqing, an expert in the evaluation of internal quality assurance system construction for Chongqing’s higher vocational colleges, a member of the National Committee on Modern Apprenticeship, and an educational inspector for the Chongqing Municipal Government.
He has received over 20 awards, including the ‘National Outstanding Contribution Award for Medical and Pharmaceutical Degree and Postgraduate Education’, the ‘Second Prize for National Vocational Education Teaching Achievements’, the ‘First Prize for Higher Education Teaching Achievements from the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government’, the ‘Second Prize for Chongqing Municipal Comprehensive Education Reform Pilot Achievements’, the ‘Third Prize for the First Chongqing Municipal Comprehensive Education Reform Achievements’, and the ‘Second and Third Prizes for Science and Technology from the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government’.
In recent years, he has secured funding for over 30 research projects, including General Programmes from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Innovation Programme projects from the Ministry of Education. He has published over 200 research and teaching papers, of which 30 have been indexed in SCI and over 70 in CSSCI, CSCD and Chinese core journals. He has edited and published 9 textbooks and contributed to 3 research and teaching monographs.
