Prof. Liu Enmei was appointed as vice president of Chongqing Medical University in October 2024.
Prof. Liu is a Young and Middle-aged Expert With Outstanding Contributions to National Health, and receives Special Government Allowances of the State Council. She is also recognized as a New Century Excellent Talent in University and as the leading expert of the Chongqing Chief Expert Studio.
She currently serves as the Vice-President of Chongqing Medical University, a member of Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Vice-Chair of the YuZhong District Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, the Vice-Chair of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, and the Chair of the YuZhong District Committee of the China Democratic League. She also concurrently serves as the Leader of the Clinical Pharmacology Group of the Pediatrics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the Deputy Leader of the National Children's Asthma Collaboration Group, and the Vice-Chair of the Pediatrics Branch of the Chongqing Medical Association.
Prof. Liu is primarily engaged in research on molecular epidemiology, early-warning models, and pathogenic mechanisms of pediatric respiratory viruses, and is proficient in the precise diagnosis and treatment of chronic cough and asthma in children. She has successively won the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Advancement Award of the Ministry of Education, the First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize of the Science and Technology Advancement Award of Chongqing Municipality, the Seventh Youth Technology Award of Chongqing Municipality, the Third Prize of the Chinese Medical Association, and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Advancement Award of the China Maternal and Child Health Association.
