4. Application and admission access
A. Applicants should submit their application and check the admission status in CQMU international student information management system. (https://lxs.cqmu.edu.cn/)
B. Applicants for Chinese Government Scholarship should also apply on the website of the China Scholarship Council（https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login）
C. The introduction of specialties and supervisors and the enrollment standards for international students will be released on the official English website of CQMU, which will also exhibit the publicity material for enrollment of students studying in China. （https://english.cqmu.edu.cn/）
D. There is no need to provide paper materials in the application stage. The admitted students must submit the original and the copy materials corresponding to the original at the time of registration. The original shall be reviewed and the relevant paper materials shall be filed. The materials uploaded through the system at the application stage must be clear, true and effective. The applicant is suggested to use professional equipment to scan the relevant documents to be submitted. The consequences caused by unclear or unrecognizable materials shall be borne by the applicant.
E. Application date: from the release of the enrollment brochures to 17:00 p.m. Beijing time on October 30, 2022.
5. Enrollment requirements
A. Basic requirement for bachelor’s degree program
1) In principle, applicants to Bachelor’s Degree Program should be aged between 18 and 25. Applicants must be healthy both mentally and physically.
2) Applicant should be able to cover their expenses on studying and living in China.
3) Applicants must complete high school studies, have high school degree or above, and the courses selected in high school should be science (including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, English and other subjects). The specific requirements are as follows:

1) Mother tongue is English. 2) Applicants who are not a native English speaker should provide IELTS Academic (not less than 6, not less than 5 of each item), TOEFL (Internet based not less than 85 points, not less than 15 points per individual), or other proficiency test scores. 3) Applicants who are taught in English throughout the middle school stage may be exempted from the proof of English test results, but they must submit the proof of English results and English teaching issued by the graduating middle school. |

4) In principle, applicant should graduate from high school in 2022, with good performance during their high school study.
5) HSK certificate is preferred for those who apply for major teaching in English.
6) International students under the age of 18 whose parents are not residing in China must be entrusted by their parents to a foreigner or a Chinese who is permanently staying in China as their guardian, which should be supported by relevant documents.
7) Applicants should hold valid passports or citizenship certificates of their own countries with more than 4-year validity and more than 2-years records of living outside China in the last 4 years (up to April 30th of the first semester). A record of living outside China for over 9 months can be counted as one year, based on the date on entry and exit seals.
c. Requirements for scholarship programs
1) Chinese Government Scholarship for bachelor student
a) Applicants should pass the final examination of the preparatory school arranged by the Chinese Scholarship Council.
b) Applicants should meet the requirements for bachelor’s program mentioned above. (The level of Chinese is subject to the result of the final examination of the preparatory study college, and it needs to pass the interview at the same time)

2) Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship
a) Applicants should meet the requirements for bachelor’s program mentioned above.
b) This scholarship is granted to support students who are financially difficult but have excellent academic and moral performance.
c) Applicants should have good overall performance with excellent academic scores and achievements.
d) Applicants who apply voluntarily shall be comprehensively assessed by the enrollment Department of the University。

3) CQMU University Scholarship
a) Applicants should meet the requirements for bachelor’s program mentioned above.
b) This scholarship is granted to support students who are financially difficult but have excellent academic and moral performance.
c) The applicant has excellent school performance, achievements and comprehensive quality.
d) Applicants who have not won the above two scholarships.
e) Applicants who apply voluntarily shall be comprehensively assessed by the enrollment Department of the University。
f) Scholarship standard (unit: yuan, one-time payment in the first academic year)

6. Application documents
l Passport (photocopy/scanned copy)
l Completed Application Form for Foreigners to Study in Chongqing Medical University (original copy or photocopy/scanned copy)
l Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy/scanned copy) (Applicant can keep the original copy. The form printed by Chinese authority could be downloaded from http://english.cqmu.edu.cn). The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of an attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Note: Records of physical examination are only valid for 6 months.
l Non-Criminal Record.
l Financial proof (Applicant’s savings in the back should be more than all fees needed in the first semester).
l Notarized high school graduation/studying certificate (photocopy/scanned copy), academic transcripts of high school (photocopy/scanned copy), supporting documents of during-school performance (original copy or photocopy/scanned copy)
l For those who want to apply for MBBS program: TOEFL or IETLS certificate, or supporting documents of taking all the courses in English in high school
l For those who want to apply for Chinese medium program: HSK 5 or above and their grade transcript
l Additional documents: publications including books and papers, awarded certificates and other related materials (photocopy / scanned copy).
l Applicants who applied for Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship should submit: Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship Application Form.
