Since January 2020, the team led by Professor Huang Ai-Long, from the Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology on Infectious Diseases, Ministry of Education, Chongqing Medical University, has been working closely with BioScience Co., Ltd, Chongqing, in response to the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 with the support from the Ministry of Education and the Chongqing Municipal Government. Meanwhile, the research and development of SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing kits have been carried out with the assistance of Yongchuan Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing Three Gorges Central Hospital, Chongqing Public Health Medical Center, The Third Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing People's Hospital, Chongqing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Wanzhou People's Hospital and PEG-BIO Biopharm Co., Ltd (Chongqing).
On April 29, the top international journal Nature Medicine published the latest research results of Professor Huang Ai-Long's team online, with the title of "Antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 in patients with COVID-19". The first authors of the article are Associate Researcher Long Quanxin, Professor Liu Beizhong, Assistant Researcher Deng Haijun, Chief Physician Wu Guicheng, Associate Professor Deng Kun, and Chief Physician Chen Yaokai. Associate Researcher Hu Jieli, Researcher Chen Juan, and Professor Huang Ai-Long are the corresponding authors.
