    Chongqing Medical University and University of Leicester held a 2020-2021 plenary session of the China-UK Joint Management Committee

    On November 24, the 2020-2021 Plenary Session of the Joint Management Committee for the Clinical Medicine Program between Chongqing Medical University (CQMU) and the University of Leicester (UoL) was held online. Participants from CQMU attended the meeting in Conference Room 312, Multifunctional Building, Yuanjiagang Campus.

    During the meeting, presidents of the two universities had a strategic dialogue on the cooperation. Huang Ailong, President of CQMU and Chairman of the Joint Management Committee of CQMU side, said that cooperation between the two universities would produce a profound impact on the reform of medical talent training in CQMU and on the renewal of China's medical education through conceptual innovation and practical guidance. Nishan Canagarajah, President of UoL and Chairman of the Committee of UoL side, appreciated and agreed on the prospects proposed by CQMU for the development of two universities and hoped that both sides would make full use of the resources and funds of the Chinese-foreign education program to benefit teachers and students from both universities. He also expressed his willingness to expand and deepen the bilateral research cooperation.
