On July 15 2022, the 17th ceremony for awarding young Chinese women in science was held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, where 20 female scientists and 5 teams around China won the award. Professor CHEN Juan from College of Laboratory Medicine of CQMU and Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Infectious Diseases, Ministry of Education, received the award.
So far, the ceremony has been held 17 times, with a total of 164 female scientists in China having received the award. Over the past 18 years, 9 female scientists who had received the award have been elected as members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and of Chinese Academy of Engineering; 3 have won the “Award for Outstanding Female Scientists in the World".
