With the aim of further promoting the internationalization of CQMU and catering towards students’ aspirations to engage in international cooperation and exchange, CQMU held its 2023 International Student Exchange Programme information session, conducted using both online and in-person methods at Yuanjiagang campus and Jinyun campus on March 10th and 11th respectively.
The info session was hosted by Wang Yu, the Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, who outlined the arrangements and overview for the 2023 International Student Exchange Programmes. Representatives from overseas partnering institutions, such as Professor Li Xinmin, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta (UA) in Canada, and Yan-Min Mo, Coordinator of the Visiting Scholar Programme at the University of British Columbia (UBC), were invited to give presentations on this session. In addition, alumni from CQMU who had participated in previous programmes were also invited to share their experiences with the students attending the info session.
Nearly 400 students attended the info session. The students showed great enthusiasm and fully engaged in the discussion about the 2023 exchange programme. Ms. Wang Yu provided insightful answers to their questions and encouraged them to broaden their horizons, gain valuable experience and develop an international perspective through the exchange programme.
