On November 1, 2022, the POCT&Biosensor research group of Professor Xie Guoming from the college of Laboratory Medicine CQMU published an article entitled "A PAM-free CRISPR/Cas12a ultra-specific activation mode based on toehold-mediated strand displacement and branch migration" , and in this they proposed a new mode of CRISPR/cas12a activation based on TSDR and BM.

Professor Xie Guoming, associate researcher Yang Yujun and Li Junjie are the co-corresponding authors of this article, and Wu You, a Master candidate in clinical laboratory diagnostic, and Luo Wang, a phD candidate in clinical laboratory diagnostic, are the co-first authors of this article. Professor Xie Guoming's POCT&Biosensor research group has been committed to the regulation of chain displacement and related clinical applications for a long time. Their research results have been published in international academic journals such as ACS Nano, Biosensors & Bioelectronics, and Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical.

The research was funded by the General Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Chongqing Municipality, and the Scientific Research Innovation Project of Chongqing Postgraduate Students.
