    Tian Jie, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CQMU, Met With the Vice President of Bulgaria Pleven Medical University

    Recently, CQMU and Bulgaria Pleven University of Medical Sciences held an online exchange meeting through a video connection. Prof. TIAN Jie, Vice President of CQMU and Prof. Diana Pendicheva-Duhlenska, Vice President of Pleven Medical University attended the meeting.

    Prof. TIAN Jie said that in the course of nearly 10 years of cooperation,  high-intensity focused ultrasound tumor treatment technology developed by CQMU was introduced to Plevin Medical University, and a studrnt exchange agreement was signed by the two universities wherein students were sent to each other's affiliated hospitals for clinical internships every year.This programme was supported by the International Exchange Program for Excellent Undergraduates from the National Foundation for Foundation Studies. Tian Jie expressed his support and welcome for further deepening the cooperation between the two universities in clinical medicine, ultrasound medicine and other fields, as well as extensive teacher-student exchanges. He proposed that CQMU plans to send a delegation to Plevin Medical University for an exchange visit this year, to renew the cooperation agreement between the two universities, and to promote the two sides to continue to carry out all-round and multi-level disciplinary cooperation and personnel exchanges.


    Pleven Medical University is located in Pleven, northern Bulgaria, and was founded in 1974. In 2007, it took the lead in carrying out the innovation of clinical medical technology represented by the Da Vinci surgical robot. It is the only robotic surgery training center in Southeast Europe now. In July 2014, the Second Affiliated Hospital of CQMU and Plevin Medical University jointly applied for the "China-Bulgaria Prospective Joint Clinical Study on High Intensity Focused Ultrasound Ablation of Uterine Fibroids" by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology. And in November 2017, Pleven Medical University and CQMU formally signed a student exchange agreement, supported by the Erasmus+ project of the European Union. The Erasmus+ project is a higher education cooperation scholarship project organized by the European Union, which provides excellent young scholars from all over the world with the opportunity to study in European higher education institutions.
