    Representatives of Russian universities visited Chongqing Medical University

    On the morning of August 21st, taking the opportunity to participate in the final round of the 2023 "The Belt and Road" competition for international undergraduates on Innovation Research & Experimental Design in Basic Medical Sciences, Ms. Marina Kuznetsova, head of the International Department of Voronezh State Medical University, Dr. Liudmila Belova, dean of medical college of Ulianovsk University, and Ms.Yuliya Kashina, head of Student Programs of International Department of St Petersburg University visited Chongqing Medical University (CQMU). Ms. Natalia Kurashova, coordinator for the college of International Education of Harbin Medical University and the association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities, accompanied them on their visit. Ms. WANG Yu, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of CQMU, and Dr. ZHANG Dan, Vice Director of the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU, cordially received the Russian representatives and held a work conference. 


    Ms.WANG Yu welcomed the Russian delegates and introduced them to the Chongqing Municipality and CQMU, including the development of CQMU's disciplines, scientific research, education, as well as teaching and international cooperation. She said that CQMU, as a member of the Association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities, attaches great importance to the cooperation with Russian universities and hopes to carry out exchanges and cooperation in student exchanges, mutual visits of faculty members, teaching and research, and more. She invites Russian teachers and students to come to Chongqing to participate in summer camps and study for master's and doctoral degrees.

     

    The Russian representatives and students also visited the outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU, clinical skills center, and a key laboratory for  functional brain disease diagnosis and treatment of the National Health Commission of the Peoples Republic of China. They praised the school and hospital for their medical services, education and teaching, scientific research and transformation.

    Under the framework of the Association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities, it is of great significance for CQMU to establish cooperative relationships with Russian universities to serve the overall situation of national diplomacy, to enhance the friendship between China and Russia, to expand the channels of international cooperation and the space for exchange of teachers and students, to accelerate and expand the opening up of CQMU to the outside world, as well as to enhance the international visibility of CQMU.
