    A Philippine Delegation Led by the Philippine Higher Education Commission, Visited Our University

    On 5th September, 2023, Ms. Lily Freida M. Milla, Director of the International Department of the Philippine Higher Education Commission, led Onofre Jr. G. Inocencio, member of the Board of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Augusto K. Fabella, Vice President of Jose Rizal University, Mia Monica Bernabe, Vice President of World City College, Joan Madrid de la Cuesta, Executive Director of Academic Affairs of the National University (Philippines), Aristo Antiola, Marketing Manager of the Graduate School of University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, and other relevant personnel visited Chongqing Medical University. Florida Ann Camille P. Mayo, Consul General of the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, accompanied the visit. The Vice President of CQMU, Tian Jie, received the delegation on behalf of CQMU.

    Prof. Tian Jie extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the Philippine Higher Education Commission. He said that the Philippines is a friendly neighbor of China and an important country along the “Belt and Road”, and CQMU attaches great importance to the exchange and cooperation with Philippine universities. Consul General, Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo, expressed gratitude for the warm reception provided by CQMU. MS. Wang Yu introduced the history and development of our university. Ms. Lily Freida M. Milla briefly introduced Philippine higher education and medical education, and expressed her hope to cooperate with our university in traditional Chinese medicine, community medicine and medical education and attempting to establish an online shared classroom for Chinese and Philippine students. Both sides reached consensus on establishing a cooperative partnership.

    In addition, the delegation of the Philippine Higher Education Commission also visited the outpatient building of the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU as well as the Clinical skills Training Centre, National Health Commission Key Laboratory of Diagnosis and Treatment on Brain Functional Diseases, the library and the College of Biomedical Engineering.
