    A Delegation from Learning Realm International School in Nepal Visited Chongqing Medical University for an Exchange and Tour

    On October 20th, 2023, a delegation from Learning Realm International (L.R.I.) School in Nepal, including the Principal and Confucius Classroom Director (Nepal side), Dr. Devkant Joshi, the Confucius Classroom Director (China side), WU Yuan, as well as nine students and teachers, visited Chongqing Medical University. The delegation was received by WANG Yu, the Director of the Foreign Affairs Office and the Dean of the College of International Education of CQMU.

    Ms. WANG Yu warmly welcomed the delegation from L.R.I School. She expressed that Nepal is a well established source of students for our university, and CQMU highly values the collaboration with international schools in Nepal. She hopes to see more Nepalese students studying at CQMU in the future. Ms. LIU Xiaoqin, the Vice Dean of the College of International Education of CQMU, provided an overview of our university and presented the history of international student education in China to the delegation from L.R.I School. President Devkant Joshi and Director WU Yuan expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception at our university. Both parties reached a consensus on promoting cooperation and encouraging students from L.R.I. School in Nepal to pursue medical studies at CQMU.

    In addition, the delegation from L.R.I School in Nepal visited the clinical skills training centre at the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU. They gained a comprehensive understanding of the centre's development history, skill training facilities, international exchange and cooperation, as well as the accolades achieved by both Chinese and international students trained there. The delegation also toured the library at CQMU Yuanjiagang Campus, showcasing our university's digital experiential spaces and environment.

    The visit by the delegation from L.R.I School in Nepal has facilitated exchanges and deepened mutual understanding between the two institutions. Seizing this opportunity, our university will actively attract high school students from international schools in Nepal to pursue medical degrees at CQMU. This effort aims to cultivate medical talents from Nepal with an international perspective and further promote educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Nepal.
