    Founding Conference of Chongqing Medical University Journal Alliance Was Successfully Held

    On the morning of December 29, 2023, the Clustering Development Forum of Medical Journals and the Founding Conference of Chongqing Medical University Journal Alliance were both held in the Conference Hall of the Chongyi Innovation Centre of Chongqing Medical University. More than 200 people attended the conference, including CQMU leaders and relevant staff, as well as heads and editors of 10 journal publishing units in the alliance, colleagues from Chongqing Medical Journal Editors, and graduate student representatives.

    Prof. TIAN Jie, Vice President of CQMU, presided over the Founding Conference of the Chongqing Medical University Journal Alliance. On behalf of CQMU, Prof. HUANG Ailong, President of CQMU, warmly welcomed the leaders and guests attending this conference. Prof. DENG Shixiong, Vice President of CQMU, read out the approval documents of the Chongqing Medical University Journal Alliance. On site, the leaders of CQMU awarded licenses to the member units of the alliance, and the publishing unit heads of 10 alliance journals announced the official foundation of the Chongqing Medical University Journal Alliance.

    The Clustering Development Forum of Medical Journals was presided over by Mr. WANG Weilang, Deputy Proprieter of Periodical Press of Chongqing University, and Ms. RAN Minghui, Deputy Proprieter of Periodical Press of Chongqing Medical University. Experts and scholars from academic journals in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, and other areas gave brilliant academic reports on the practice and development of scientific and technological journal clustering, high-quality development of journals, and deep integration of publishing.

    The Journal Alliance of Chongqing Medical University is currently composed of 10 journals, including Journal of Chongqing Medical University (sponsored by CQMU), Genes & Diseases (sponsored by CQMU), Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research (organized by the CQMU), Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology (sponsored by the Second Affiliated Hospital of CQMU), Chinese Journal of Hepatology (organized by the Second Affiliated Hospital of CQMU), Pediatric Discovery (organized by the Children’s Hospital of CQMU), Journal of Ultrasound in Clinic Medicine (sponsored by the Second Affiliated Hospital of CQMU), Journal of Pediatric Pharmacy (co-sponsored by the Children’s Hospital of CQMU), Chinese Journal of Endocrine Surgery (organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU), and Liver Doctor (sponsored by the Second Affiliated Hospital of CQMU ).

    The alliance is based on journals sponsored and organized by Chongqing Medical University and its affiliated hospitals, with the goal of improving the overall quality and influence of CQMUs journals. It will play a leading and radiating role in the sharing of high-quality resources among member units, as well as strong cooperation and mutual assistance and progress to jointly build a journal cluster with a correct orientation, top-level quality, intensive resources, and core competitiveness.
