    The 2023 Sino-French Medical Education Annual Conference has been hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU

    On October 20, 2023, the 2023 Sino-French Medical Education Annual Conference took place at Yuzhou Hotel, organized by Chongqing Medical University and sponsored by the Health and Social Affairs Office of the French Embassy in China. The First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU took charge of the event's organization.

    Bertrand Lortholary, French Ambassador to China, Guillaume Delvallée, Consul General of the Consulate General of France in Chengdu, Romain Jacquet, Health and Social Affairs Counselor from the French Embassy in China, along with 29 representatives from Chinese institutions in Shanghai, Wuhan, and other regions, as well as partner institutions in France, made a special journey to Chongqing to participate in this annual conference.

    Representatives from various Chinese institutions delivered comprehensive presentations on the history, current status, exchange programs, and future plans of Sino-French medical collaborations. These presentations highlighted the ongoing expansion and sustainable development of Sino-French medical cooperation. Ms. HU Dan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China-France Health Talent Training Cooperation Center, Researcher at Peking University China Health Development Research Center, and Deputy Secretary-General of the "Belt and Road" Medical Talent Training Alliance of the Health Talent Exchange Service Center of the National Health Commission, provided insights into exchange projects conducted by the National Health Commission's Health Talent Exchange Service Center and the China-France Health Talent Training Cooperation Center. Counselor Romain Jacquet detailed the support and promotion of Sino-French medical and health exchange projects by the French Embassy in China.

    Following the conference's closing ceremony, Ambassador Bertrand Lortholary presented the Knight of the National Legion of Honor to Dr. ZHANG Dan, Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital and awarded the Knight of the Order of National Merit to Ms. ZHU Qinlan, Deputy Chief Physician, who is primarily responsible for the concrete implementation of medical exchanges between China and France at the hospital. Then, Ambassador Bertrand Lortholary, Consul General Guillaume Delvallée, Counselor Romain Jacquet, and representatives from Sino-French partner institutions visited the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU.
