    CQMU Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President YUAN Jun Leads Delegation to Shenzhen Bay Laboratory and Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation

    On March 31st 2025, Chongqing Medical University’s (CQMU) Vice Presidents YUAN Jun and LI Huabing led a delegation to Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) and Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation (SMART). The delegation, which included senior officials from the Chongqing’s Yuzhong District Government, conducted a site visit to explore the development of high-capability platforms for sci-tech innovations. The delegation was warmly received by Dr. TU Huan, Deputy Director of SZBL and Vice President of SMART.

    The delegation toured the exhibition halls of both SZBL and SMART, as well as the experimental platform and equipment areas. During the exchange meeting, Dr. Tu provided detailed information about the development positioning and innovative concepts of SZBL and SMART. Mr. Yuan introduced CQMU’s history and the progress of high-capability sci-tech innovation platforms.

    Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, officially known as the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Life Information and Biomedicine, is part of the second batch of Guangdong Provincial Laboratories. The laboratory focuses on comprehensive, full life-cycle health protection, emphasizing prevention and intervention of major diseases such as neurological and psychiatric disorders, tumors, and infectious diseases. It conducts research in disease mechanisms, life information, innovative drugs, and medical imaging.
