On April 14th, Elsevier unveiled its list of the “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers 2021” (hereinafter referred to as “the List”). The List comprises 4,701 researchers from 523 universities, companies and research institutes, covering 84 first-level disciplines under 10 academic fields, among which 608 researchers are from clinical medicine and 9 researchers from ophthalmology. Two professors from the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU, XIE Peng and YANG Peizeng, were featured on the List.
Professor Yang has been on the List for eight consecutive years since 2015, and Professor Xie for three years since 2019.
