According to Essential Science Indicators (ESI) from Clarivate Analytics updated on 15th September, 2023, the Psychiatry and Psychology discipline of Chongqing Medical University has ranked in the top 1% globally.
At present, ten disciplines of Chongqing Medical University rank top 1% worldwide in ESI. These disciplines include Clinical Medicine (already ranked 1‰ globally by ESI), Pharmacology and Toxicology, Neuroscience and Behavior, Biology and Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Immunology, Materials Science, Chemistry, Social Sciences Overview, and Psychiatry and Psychology.
ESI is an analytical and evaluation tool for measuring scientific research performance and tracking scientific development trends in universities. It is one of the most important references to identify the level of the discipline’s development. Its database collects and analyses over 10 million articles from over 11,000 academic journals included in ISI Web of Science (SCIE/SSCI).
The Psychiatry and Psychology discipline has recently ranked in the top 1% globally according to ESI, indicating that CQMU’s scientific research output and influence have continued to improve, and the standard of its disciplines have continuously improved.
