On July 26, 2024, the two-week CQMU Study & Culture Tour concluded successfully. Organized by the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges as well as the College of International Education at Chongqing Medical University (CQMU), this year's Study & Culture Tour welcomed 41 faculty members and students from 10 of CQMU's partner institutions, including the University of Alberta in Canada, the University of Antwerp in Belgium, the University of Debrecen in Hungary, Kwangwoon University in South Korea, the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, the University of Malaya in Malaysia, the Medical University of Pleven in Bulgaria, Ulyanovsk State University and Voronezh State University in Russia, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Various departments and colleges at CQMU, along with student volunteers, also participated in the event.

During the tour, the international members visited the First Affiliated Hospital of CQMU, State Key Laboratory of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering, and Chongqing Human Life and Health Museum. They engaged in academic exchanges and learning by selecting course packages based on their interests and professional backgrounds. The participants also immersed themselves in traditional Chinese culture through Tai Chi experience, Chinese culture course and games. Additionally, they explored the Ciqikou Ancient Town, the Dazu Rock Carvings, the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery, and the Forbidden City Cultural Relics Museum. On the Chinese Family Day, volunteer families warmly welcomed the overseas guests, showcasing the unique hospitality of the people of Chongqing.

At the wrap-up meeting, Prof. TIAN Jie, the Vice President of CQMU, awarded certificates of completion to the international members and volunteer certificates to the CQMU student volunteers. During the farewell party, all the study & culture tour members gathered to celebrate their deep bonds through music and dance, expressing both their friendship and their reluctance to part.

Since its inception in 2011, the CQMU Study & Culture Tour has become an important platform for educational openness at the university. This year's tour not only provided participants with insights into CQMU's educational strengths and the latest achievements in medical science and technology, but also allowed them to deeply appreciate the charm and values of traditional Chinese culture. CQMU study & culture tour has served as a bridge for cultural exchange, fostering international cooperation in medical education and amplifying China's voice on the global stage.
