    Chongqing Medical University held 2024 International Conference on Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education Research and Application (Chongqing) Biomedical Sciences Session

    On November 22, 2024, the "2024 International Conference on Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education Research and Application (Chongqing) Biomedical Sciences Session" was held at the Academic Conference Hall of the Innovation Centre-Chongyi of CQMU.

    With the theme of "Leading Innovation in Biomedical Sciences, Development with Opening and Integration," the conference gathered experts from several world-renowned universities including the University of Manchester (UK), National University of Singapore, The University of Tokyo (Japan), Temple University (USA), University of Strasbourg (France), Karolinska Institute (Sweden), Monash University and The University of Sydney (Australia), as well as The Chinese University of Hong Kong, to share the latest achievements in the whole field of industry, education, research and application and explore the development trends of innovation in the biomedical industry.

    Professor LIU Enmei, Vice President of CQMU, presided over the opening ceremony. Additionally, a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between Chongqing Medical University and the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine was held at the conference hall.

    Professor LI Huabing, Vice President of CQMU, along with Professor Chen Zhixiong, Assistant Dean of NUS Medicine, signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties. Meanwhile, the “Appointment Ceremony for High-level Overseas Talent Representative of Chongqing Medical University” was held. Professor YANG Xianzhou, Deputy Secretary of the of the Second Affiliated Hospital of CQMU, signed contracts with the representatives of overseas high-level talent.

    During the keynote speeches, two experts from the National University of Singapore and the University of Manchester shared their thoughts on medical education at their respective universities. The participating experts discussed the future of medical education and global health education, and exchanged ideas on basic and clinical frontier research results in professional fields such as electrical impedance sensors, the application of artificial intelligence in the medical field, machine learning-assisted disease discovery, bio-optoelectronics, metabolomics, and disaster medicine.

    The conference was hosted by CQMU and organized by both the Office of International Cooperation & Exchanges and Graduate School of CQMU. Heads of the relevant functional departments and faculties of CQMU and representatives of experts attended the opening ceremony of the conference.
