In November 2024, at the invitation of our university, Professor Keith Brennan, Vice-Dean for International Collaboration in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine, and Health at the University of Manchester, and Professor Meng Qingjun, Vice-Dean for International Research and Innovation, visited our university.

On November 21, Professor Brennan and his delegation visited the outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of our university, the Clinical Skills Training Center, and the National Health Commission's Key Laboratory for Diagnosis and Treatment of Functional Brain Diseases. They gained insights into the talent cultivation in clinical medicine and international research collaborations at our university. Vice President Zhang Dan accompanied the delegation on behalf of the hospital.

On November 22, Professor Brennan and Professor Meng Qingjun attended the Biomedicine Sub-forum of the 2024 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research, and Application (Chongqing).
The visit of the delegation from the Faculty of Biology, Medicine, and Health at the University of Manchester has enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between the two universities, laid the foundation for long-term cooperation, and promoted joint international talent training and innovative scientific research collaboration in the field of biomedicine.
