To advance the university's key annual work, comprehensively diagnose the implementation of the "Dual Certification," and promote improvement and development through evaluation, a simulation "Dual Certification" report and exchange meeting for international students was held at the Yuanjiagang Campus at Chongqing Medical University on 30 May, 2025. Vice President YUAN Jun attended the meeting, which was presided over by Vice President LIU Enmei.
The head of the simulation certification expert group was Professor WU Qiang, former Dean of the International College at Anhui Medical University. Other members included Professor SHI Hongcan, former Dean of the School of Medicine at Yangzhou University, Professor ZHONG Zhaohua, former Director of the Academic Affairs Office and International Exchange and Cooperation Office at Harbin Medical University, and Ms. CHEN Jun, Dean of the International Education College at Southern Medical University.
At the report meeting, Prof. YUAN Jun delivered a welcome speech, highlighting that the simulation "Dual Certification" was a comprehensive test of the university's educational quality and expressing his expectation for the experts' "precise diagnosis." Prof, LIU Enmei provided a detailed report on the university's international student work and preparations for the "Dual Certification." After the report, the experts divided into groups to review documents, conduct site visits, and hold symposiums. They also visited the First Clinical College to inspect clinical teaching and graduate student training, offering targeted suggestions.
During the exchange meeting, the experts highly praised the university's achievements in international student education and provided further recommendations on aspects such as the "convergence" concept, teaching quality, and hardware facilities. Prof. Liu, on behalf of the university, pledged to carefully sort out the expert opinions, establish a rectification ledger, and advance the work to continuously improve the level of international student education.
On the afternoon of 29 May, a "Dual Certification" special training session was held at the Yuanjiagang Campus. Mr. ZHAO Jiyang, Dean of the International Education College at Harbin Medical University, provided a systematic and comprehensive training for members of the "Dual Certification" working groups from various functional departments and colleges.
