On March 12, Mr. Martyn Edwards, Director of External Relations of the University of Leicester, and Ms. Li Ye, Deputy Head of International Student Recruitment, visited Chongqing Medical University. Prof. Liu Enmei, Vice President of CQMU, and Ms. Wang Yu, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges attended the meeting.

The delegation also visited the Jinyun Campus for discussions with faculty and staff from the Joint Institute. Prof. Zhu Dan, Dean of the Joint Institute, introduced its development. Mr. Edwards praised the achievements of the JEI and expressed hope for further collaboration in areas including student recruitment, talent cultivation, and graduate employment. Dr. Zhang Yi, Associate Dean of the Institute, along with relevant staff, participated in the discussions.
The delegation also toured the Joint Institute’s office spaces, the Jinyun Campus Library, and smart classrooms, gaining insights into the Institute’s teaching environment and facilities.
