Dr. Liang Yijian received his master's degree in Surgery (2003) and doctoral degree in Neurology (2007) from Chongqing Medical University. He is currently the head of the Department of Orthopedics at the Third People's Hospital of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and that of the Second Clinical College at Chengdu of Chongqing Medical University.
He is one of the delegates of the 13th National People's Congress of Sichuan Province, National Model Workers, Role Models of the Times, and has won 2016 Touching China Award, etc.
Dr. Liang has been engaged in more than 3,000 surgeries for kyphosis and saved lives of thousands of patients with severe spinal deformities. He is now a leading expert in the correction of severe spinal deformities in China. His work motto is To Do What’s the Best for Patients.
Dr. Liang specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal and joint diseases, especially cervical spine diseases and trauma, surgical correction of scoliosis, non-fusion fixation surgery for diseases caused by spinal degeneration, and minimally invasive artificial joint replacements on the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. He also excels at various minimally invasive lumbar spine surgeries with lumbar discoscopy.
