Yong Tang served two consecutive terms Vice President of the International Society of Stereology and Vice President of the Chinese Society of Stereology, and Yong Tang is currently Advisor of the President and Executive Member of the Chinese Society of Stereology, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Bio-stereology, Chief Scientific Communication Expert of the Chinese Biomedical Stereology, and Vice President of the Anatomical Society and Vice President of the Society of Neuroscience of Chongqing Municipality. Yong Tang was awarded the First Prize of Natural Science of Chongqing Municipality as the first complete person. Yong Tang is the only Chinese who obtained his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Hans Jorgen Gundersen (Denmark), the inventor of modern stereoloical methods, and the first person in China to apply biomedical stereological methods to neuroscience research.


PUBLICATIONS

Yong Tang has undertaken more than 30 projects (including 10 National Natural Science Foundation of China), published more than 200 papers (more than 130 SCI papers with more than 4000 citations), and trained more than 100 postdoctoral, doctoral and master's degree students.
