RESEARCH INTERESTS

The main research field of Tingting Li is the production of virus specific antibody and the role of B cell in viral infection and tumor immune microenvironment. During the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic, as a key member of the research team, Tingting Li was responsible for the construction of a rapid and Efficient neutralizing antibodies screening system. With the help of this system, more than 200 monoclonal antibodies were identified and multiple broad-spectrum neutralizing antibodies were screened. Two of the potent neutralizing Abs were developed as neutralizing Ab drugs due to their high neutralizing potency against several variants including XBB and EG.5. The drug MY-586 obtained the clinical research approval (2022LP01709) from the China Food and Drug Administration and successfully completed the phase I clinical trial. Another drug A8G6 submitted an IND application to China Food and Drug Administration, awaiting the approval.

Another research area of Tingting Li is the study of the mechanism of the reduced neutralizing potency of SARS-CoV-2 specific antibodies against Omicron induced via multiple doses of the wild type vaccination. She found that atypical B cell might participate in this change of the neutralizing potency. The further mechanism is investigating at present.

She has been in charge of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No 82302066)
