RESEARCH INTERESTS

English for Specific Purposes, Translation.

Associate professor WANG Lianglan has been engaged in research on English for Specific Purposes and Translation studies. She has undertaken 3 provincial projects on translation and Chinese cultural going global, and has also taken 3 university projects on cultivation of medical students and medical English majors.

In the past few years, associate professor Wang Lianglan has been a supervisor for MA students majoring in medical translation. Under her guidance, her students have undertaken quite a large number of translation projects in medicine, including the project on WHO’s “Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021–2030”, and they have won quite a few awards in translation contests, including the Third Prize in “Han Suyin International Translation Contest”.
