RESEARCH INTERESTS
Prof. Zhang has been engaged in research on the pathogenesis and clinical diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for 20 years. She has undertaken 4 projects of National Natural Science Foundations of China and 4 projects of Chongqing Natural Science Foundation of China. The main research interest of Prof. Zhang is acute myeloid leukemia with nucleophosmin (NPM1) mutations. The research team has focused on the role of NPM1 gene mutations in the biological characteristics of leukemic cells, the mechanisms of immune escape in NPM1-mutated AML, and the new therapeutic strategies aimed at improving immune cell activity in AML.
