RESEARCH INTERESTS

Professor Liu has been engaged in research on the association between exposure to environmental harmful factors and children's pubertal development and mental health and related mechanism.

She has been in charge of over 30 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chongqing Science and Technology Commission, Chongqing Education Commission, the Department for International Development (DFID) in UK and Duke University in USA in the past 15 years to work on evidence-based synthesis, child growth and development, child mental health and behaviours, and child nutrition. She has approximately 100 peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals. She also serves as council member for twelve national and provincial professional organisations related to evidence-based medicine, epidemiology, child health and health promotion.
