RESEARCH INTERESTS
1) Tissue engineering in endodonatics: tissue engineering to replace impaired or damaged dental tissues using stem cells, morphogens and/or growth factors.
2) Dental stem cells and their potential role in apexogenesis and apexification: apical papilla to produce pulp-dentine and cementum-periodontal ligament complexes for apexification or apexogenesis.
3) Future approaches in periodontal regeneration: gene therapy, stem cells, and RNA interference: the challenges in regenerative periodontal therapy lies in the ability to induce the regeneration of a complex apparatus composed of different tissues, such as bone, cementum and periodontal ligament.
4) Establishing a genetic system for floral studies of streptococcus mutants: the mechanism of streptococcus mutants to cause tooth decay
