RESEARCH INTERESTS
The global prevalence of bacterial drug resistance is becoming more and more serious, and the mortality rate of multidrug-resistant bacteria in ICU has reached 50%. Exploring the formation, spread and pathogenic mechanism of highly virulent resistant bacteria is the top priority of clinical prevention and control research. In our study, we found that ST76 of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae strain was prevalent in China, carrying multiple genes related to drug resistance and virulence. The project team applied molecular biology technology, combined with molecular epidemiological analysis, to analyze the possibility of infection transmission by the survival ability and adaptability of cloned strains, analyze the genetic structure and mobile elements of the whole genome sequence of chromosomes and plasmosomes, identify the evolution and transmission path, track and trace the source, explore the mechanism of drug resistance, and analyze virulence characteristics from the gene level and physiological level. At the same time, in vitro and in vivo combined drug sensitivity programs were screening, to find the best drug combination therapy program. The research results will help to elucidate the spread and pathogenic mechanism of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae, and provide a powerful laboratory theoretical basis for clinical infection prevention and treatment.
