RESEARCH INTERESTS
The primary focus of Prof. Deng revolves around the intricacies of neonatal care, particularly the resuscitation and treatment of premature and extremely premature infants. Her intensive research endeavors aim to unearth the underlying mechanisms of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in extremely premature infants. Addressing this significant challenge, Prof. Deng and her dedicated research team have delved deep into clinical and experimental studies, securing prominent grants in the process. She has notably been the lead investigator for two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation(30770950;81270058) and one by the Chongqing Science Commission(CSTC, 2009BB6072), while also contributing to four additional projects under the National Natural Science Foundation.
Prof. Deng has published more than 60 papers, 15 of total have been recognized in the Science Citation Index (SCI) and 22 in the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD). 36 master's students have successfully graduated under the guidance of Prof. Deng.
Clinically, Prof. Deng excels in the realms of neonatal care. She is an expert in pediatric respiratory system diseases, chronic coughs, digestive system issues, and other ill pediatric diseases. Prof. Deng has comprehensive experience and dedication to pediatric healthcare.
