University-Town Hospital of Chongqing medical University (The Fourth Clinical College)

The University-Town Hospital of Chongqing Medical University is a national level-three hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and health care. It is currently under construction according to the standard of class III grade-A hospital, with 1,480 beds planned, covering an area of 22.4 acres and serving nearly 2 million people. The hospital is located at the Western Science City, which is linked to an economic circle of Chengdu and Chongqing. According to the blueprint of the health care industry, the hospital has access to rich resources with policy supports, such as the "double first-class" construction of Chongqing Medical University, the early head start clinical position for the under graduates of Chongqing Medical University, and the medical education and practice base of other universities in the University town.

Education

The hospital has developed a sound and complete teaching and research management system. There are Professor Committee, science and education department, and teaching supervision group, all of which are responsible for the management of teaching and scientific research of the whole hospital. At present, the main teaching tasks include undergraduate theoretical courses and clinical practice, graduate education, and resident standardized training.

Scientific research achievements

The hospital has been doing 58 scientific research projects, with fundings up to 10 million yuan. 300 scientific research papers have been published, including 33 SCI papers.
